The castle's wonderful surroundings invite to spend time outside - enjoy one of the park's cozy spots or take a rowboat ride on the lake. Feel the tranquility and recharge during a walk through our herb garden and discover the numeruos different scents and colors that nature offers. Enjoy the view over Lake from one of our wooden swings.

With pleasure, we serve snacks and a cup of tea on one of our many terraces in front of the castle or by the lakeside. You can also order Skjoldenæsholm's picnic basket and take it up to Lisehøj, from where you have a fantastic view over park and lake.

In addition to all the unique offerings our lovely house provides, we are fortunate that the castle is situated in one of Denmark's most beautiful natural areas.

Teambuiding activities in the park, group work on the terraces, or relaxing boat trips across the lake - it's almost only imagination that sets the limits how the many square meters can be used.

Be active in nature

The forest surrounding the castle offers three marked hiking and running trails that wind up and down on paths and forest roads through the unique and hilly landscape.

The three routes: red, yellow, and blue are marked with their respective colors on the trees - the blue route passes by the memorial stone for Henri Bruun de Neergaard and Zealand's highest point, Gyldenløveshøj, which is located 126 meters above sea level. The memorial stone at the top was erected for the fallen freedom fighters during World War II.
