Skjoldenæsholm Castle is located between the historical trading towns Roskilde and Ringsted.
The fascinating Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde and the cathedral with the royal tombs are definitely worth a visit. After this cultural experience, you can enjoy a walk along the harbor or through the cozy pedestrian zone with its variety of shops.
In Ringsted, you can visit the Sct. Bendt's Church and see, among other things, one of the impressive tombs of the Bruun de Neergaard family. Additionally, Ringsted has a large outlet center with many different shops.
Right next to the castle you find Denmark's longest museum - the Skjoldenæsholm Trammuseum. After exploring the fine exhibitions of historic trams and buses, you can take a ride intothe forest and enjoy a lovely picnic prepared by our chefs.
Back at the castle we happily serve you coffee and tea with homebaked cake and in the evening our talented chefs will spoil you with a delicious dinner in our cozy eating area.
